Van Dam Nordia - bnr 727 - Onan 22.5 kW MDKBS

Voor Van Dam Nordia hebben wij recent een Onan 22.5 kW MDKBS geleverd t.b.v. bnr 727. In navolging van vele sets tussen 9.5 en 13.5 kW is dit de eerste 22.5 kW Onan set voor Van Dam. De set is medio 2007 in bedrijf gesteld en de werf was vol lof over het geluidsniveau van deze set. De set is zo stil dat men aan dek bijvoorbeeld niet kan waarnemen of de set nu wel of niet draait.

Nordia 80ft ketch, Ophira V

Van Dam Nordia Shipyard has announced the completion of the 80ft Nordia Traditional Ketch, Ophira V, the third consecutive yacht built for the same owner. Unlike her predecessors, which were designed solely to the owner's requirements, Ophira V is a joint effort by the entire family. The yacht is the embodiment of each family member's lifestyle and vision on sailing. Created to circumnavigate the world, Ophira V is also part racer, part explorer and the ultimate holiday home.

The underwater ship is designed as a V-hull, which reduces pounding in rough weather, and her keel is the latest design stage of the renowned Nordia Ballisto keels. A balanced rudder with skeg adds the finishing touch to Ophira V's impressive underwater performance package.

On deck, a Hall Spars ketch rig provides the solid foundation of a sailing system controlled by Lewmar hydraulic winches and Reckmann hydraulic furls. The system incorporates push-button controls from the steering pedestals to ensure maximum sailing comfort. The Nordia 80 carries 4,176sq ft of sail.

The fully air-conditioned interior is entirely custom designed in mahogany and luxurious fabrics. It incorporates a master stateroom, two guest suites and a captain's cabin.
